The agriculture sector in India is expected to gain better momentum in the next few years due to increased investments in agricultural infrastructure, such as irrigation facilities, warehousing, and cold storage. The region is also known for its spice production, including black pepper, cardamom, and chili. Coffee and tea are grown in the Western Ghats, particularly in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Maize, pulses and various fruits and vegetables are cultivated for both domestic consumption and export. These crops not only support the region’s economy but also contribute to India’s agricultural diversity and global market presence.
